The owner of the Segway company, Jimi Heselden, died on Sunday after driving a Segway off a cliff. For most of you after you read that sentence I am sure you will say the same thing I did, how? I have never been on a Segway but I have seen them in action and I am pretty sure you just jump right off of them even if you are 65 years old. I do feel very bad for this guy, I never wish harm to any person but if he could not drive one of these bad boys then he should not have been on it in the first place.
Police say it was an accident and that it is not suspicious, that sounds right. A Segway that can barely break 10 mph was driven off a cliff and killed a man. He either knew what he was doing or someone killed him. The police need to wake up and start investigating his company.

Welcome to the Bridge
So I saw this video a while ago but I did not have a blog at the time so I just forgot about it. That was until this kid was on Fox 25 News talking about how the video has blown up and he is ready to start working with whoever wants to work with him. I actually like this song, he is a really good rapper and I am not crazy about rap either. However, I think parts of his video are kind of dumb. Like all the basketball playing, really? I do not even play ball this much I might run circles around him. Either way good for him, he made a great song and is now getting the notification he deserves.
P.S.- Should this be the new theme to Bridgewater? Just saying its a catchy tune and I could bump to it anytime.

Everything changes
It is crazy to see how fast things move in today’s day and age. Before, journalists had more time to gather information and publish it because there was really only one source for the information, in print newspapers. Now that the internet is a way of life for 99% of the population everything has changed for not only the reader but also the journalist. News comes in faster so now news must go out faster. The book shows step by step ways to receive information at an advanced speed and in an organized setting. There are multiple different websites and notification settings that a reader or journalist can visit to provide them with the most up to date information. However, since this has worked so many times before, I feel that someone should take every site that does something like this (Newsreaders, Message Boards, Mailing Lists, Social Media Networks, etc.) and combine them into one site. I know I am making this sound too easy but I feel like it could be done. It would work for the simple reason that all of these sites have done the same thing in one way or another. A site like Facebook took all of a person’s friends and put them in one place. Twitter is similar to Facebook but lately companies have been working with Twitter to help manage a person’s life revolving around their Twitter account. Newsreaders take all of your favorite blogs and put them under one reader, so why not take all these sites and put them on one screen. Something simple for a person to follow, where they can stay up to date on everything at the same time.

Kevin Faulk out for season with knee injury
As if the loss on Sunday was not bad enough, Patriots fans have to deal with Kevin Faulk being out for the season because of an ACL tear. Faulk tore his ACL in his right knee as he was being pushed out of bounds by Jets Drew Coleman. Throughout the years Faulk worked harder than any other player on our entire team. Acting as Mr. Clutch in every situation we needed him; no doubt one of the best third down converts in the league. His stats never wowed anyone but his presence on the field has. Between the pass blocking, the big plays he comes up with, and the always ability to get a first down when we need it, Faulk is the player every coach wants; he loves his team and he loves to play football. Kevin Faulk has been a huge asset to this team and his loss will be felt.
The Patriots have stepped up when the times calls for it (Bledsoe) and we do have the ability to bounce back from this. We have strong running backs, Fred Taylor has been doing great I just do not understand why he only plays for less than one half. Sammy Morris has the capabilities to step up and do what Kevin Faulk did for us all those years. For third down conversions inside four yards use BenJarvus Green Ellis, he is a strong runner that can run through the people to get three or four yards every time.
It came at a terrible time but when is it a good time for an injury, especially for a player like Kevin Faulk. Hopefully the Patriots can use this as a spark to get things started again.

Digging a deeper hole
Anything that is said in the next post was acquired through word of mouth; friends of friends were able to give me the following information, fake names will be used to protect any persons involved in the story:
Earlier this semester a group of individuals were caught smoking weed on BSU campus. With the implementation of the new law that stipulates that a person carrying less than one ounce of weed on them when they are caught is subject to a $100 fine. However, since it was done on school property and the school has a zero tolerance policy with drugs the individuals were subject to expulsion from the dorms and perhaps even the school itself. The police then asked the group if they had anything other illegal items in their possession. When one of the individuals [John] was not cooperating the police further searched him and found separate bags of weed in his pockets, insinuating he was a dealer. The police brought John down to the station and worked out a deal with him were if he showed the police where certain dealers were on campus they would let the group go with just the fine and would not tell the school.
John had a particular problem with a certain someone [Frank] who is a weed smoker, however, Frank does not regularly hold or distribute weed. John on the other hand is a distributor of weed; he began to bring small amounts of his own weed to the police claiming that is was Frank’s. John continued to bring in small bags of weed until they added up to more than half an ounce. When the cops decided to move in on Frank they wanted John to go to Frank’s room to buy another small amount of weed and they would move in after. Instead, since John never went to Frank for any weed before, John went to apologize for the feud they were in from the previous year. After the two made up John requested the bag from Frank…Frank said no.
Frank was stepping out of his shower to two police officers demanding to arrest him and his roommate. The police began to search Frank’s room for any evidence that would link him to this crime. After searching the room the police found nothing. The police took Frank down to the station to interrogate him to figure out why none of the situation was adding up.
When asked if there was anyone who would set him up there was no hesitation to say John’s name. Frank’s only enemy was John and as soon as the police heard John’s name they knew that they were being played.
John is no longer on campus, as far as his expulsion from school goes I am not sure but I would not expect to see him around this campus again.
Who's house? The New Yorkers house!
Is the best writing the pieces that win awards every year? I am not sure but I do think that great writing can be found in pieces that did not win awards. The pieces that win awards are undoubtedly great pieces of writing but they are also the ones that get the most interest. My point is that the writing that wins awards is not the only great writing out there. Papers like The New Yorker take in the best writers from everywhere; they are a powerhouse that everyone wants to write for because they have a prestigious reputation. This is why they win the most awards, just like why the Yankees win 27 championships; they buy their way to being the best. I am sure there are plenty of brilliant stories being written about every day; however, it is practically impossible to keep up with all of them so judges can only focus on papers like The New Yorker. I am not blaming the judges and I am not blaming The New Yorker but I am saying that when a piece of writing wins a Pulitzer Prize, I am not a hundred percent sure that it is the best writing of the year.

So thats what a small heart attack feels like
This morning I woke up from a tweet from @BostonUpdate that our beloved Tom Brady was involved in a car accident. I did what I assume every other Patriots fan did, had a minor stroke, then continued to follow the story. Turns out that some jackass ran a red light and ended up hitting Brady’s car, according to eye witness accounts the crash seemed to be a high impact crash and was quite loud. Brady is fine and so is his passenger but one of the people in the other car had to be transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for further treatment. In my own opinion, the person driving the other car was a Jets or Colts fan, possibly a Giants fan. That is the only explanation someone would dare hit Tom Brady’s car four days before the regular season starts. That man will be shunned and most likely thrown out of Boston for lifetime. However, thank the lord that Brady is the superior human being he is because he and his passenger walked away refusing medical treatment. This now concludes that nothing will stand in Brady’s way of another amazing season.

Has this ever happened to any of you?
On September 8, 2010 at 9:04 am I was woken up by a phone call from my father. The conversation only lasted two minutes but it will stay with me forever as probably one of the weirdest things that have ever happened to me. The night before there was an arrest in Bridgewater of three individuals for the possession of some type of drug (not sure exactly which one). By complete chance one of the perpetrators was named "Stephen Tocci" (or some variation were it sounds exactly alike). The news ran the story and my grandmother assumed it was her precious grandson getting hauled off to jail. She then decided to call my father in tears wondering why I would do such a thing. My father being the person he is kept his cool because he was not 100% it was me. The phone call the next day cleared the air but it does not give the night of no-sleep back to my grandmother. What I do not understand is why my father did not try and call me that night; I assume that the story was run at a reasonable hour because my grandmother was still awake. This whole situation could have been solved the night before if someone just called me. It would have gotten weird if they did call me the night before and I did not answer, they would most likely assume I was in a jail cell. Sadly I cannot find the story anywhere online but if anyone needs proof they are more than welcome to call my grandmother for the verification. My question to all of you is, has something like this ever happened to you? I have heard of worse things happening in the same context but never to anyone I had personally known.
Lastly, I would like to send a message to this other "Stephen Tocci" out there: there is only enough room in this town for one of us, so watch out.
